The NDC710 Backscatter Sensor makes extremely
accurate coat weight and moisture measurements on paper and other
substrates. Its ultra fast 7.5 msec measurement cycle generates
high resolution outputs, making it ideal for high-speed web
applications whether scanning or not.
The NDC710 uses a patented detector system to achieve unrivalled
stability and its superb signal to noise performance allows precise
control of a process to the specification limit. The NDC710 is
available in single and multi-component formats - a common
configuration would be to measure both coat weight and moisture
simultaneously.
The NDC710 is capable of measuring a huge range of coatings,
barrier layers, impregnations and organic or water based coatings
on a wide range of plastic, paper, textile and nonwoven substrates.
The sensor, with its high sensitivity and NIR selectivity, can
measure thin coatings on thick substrates without the need for
differential measurement.
