NDC’s FG710S Infrared Sensor is the ultimate sensor for high
precision measurement of thickness or basis weight of single or
multi-layer films. FG710S provides a non-nucleonic device
whose measurement is unaffected by ambient conditions such as
humidity, air temperature, or web flutter. Capable of concurrently
measuring up to four separate components in barrier film structures
such as Nylon, EVOH, and sealant materials, FG710S allows for
unmatched visibility and control of specific critical product
parameters.
The FG710S employs a unique design allowing it to measure
clear, pigmented and voided films, all from the same sensor. And
unlike nuclear or x-ray based technologies, FG710S provides direct
product thickness measurement as well as basis weight measurement.
The sensor is capable of measuring film thickness from 12 to 5000
microns (0.5 to 200 mils), dependent on material type and film
construction.
FG710S Features:
- Same Sensor Measures Clear, Pigmented, and Voided Films
- Provides True Thickness Measurement along with Basis Weight
Measurement
- Measures up to Four Different Product Constituents
simultaneously
- High Measurement Precision
- Fast Response Time
- Insensitive to Changes in Ambient Conditions and Web
Flutter
- Provides real-time measurement (first scan)
- Non-nuclear sensor requires no special licensing, handling or
testing procedures
