NDC’s 8000-F TDi Fixed Point Systems represent an
entry level, scalable gauging solution for measuring basis weight,
coat weight, moisture and thickness.
This intelligent, distributed architecture provides fast,
continuous measurement from each stationary sensor. Configurations
typically include a single measurement sensor. However, this can be
expanded using machine direction sensors for coating applications
or cross direction sensors for calendering operations.
The compact sensor form factors are ideal, especially where
measurements are required from tight process locations. The
measurements include either the gamma backscatter sensor or a
single-sided infrared component measurement or where a
non-nuclear solution can be applied.
The system’s Operator Work Station includes a full suite of process
visibility displays that can be extended to view across eight
lines.
Application controls are available for either automatic line
speed, cross axis or dual gap quality optimization.
The 8000TDi Fixed Point Systems family includes:
- 8110-F: One sensor
- 8210-F: Two machine direction sensors; base, net, gross
measurement
- 8310-F: Three machine direction sensors; base, net1, net2,
gross measurement
- 8410: Four machine direction sensors; base, net1, net2, net3,
gross measurement
- 8120-F: Two cross direction sensors; left and right
measurement
- 8130-F: Three cross direction sensors; left, center, right
reporting
- 8220-F: Two cross direction and two machine direction sensors;
left, right reporting, base net, gross measurement
