NDC Series 710e Gauges are designed to make a non-contacting
measurement with the product. Ideally they are installed over a
moving transport conveyor at a point in the line where the moisture
is representative for control.
In some locations, however, products are transported in
pneumatic or garvity-fed ducts and in order to gain access to the
product to make a measurment, NDC has developed the PowderVision
Sampling Systems.
The PowderVision sampler catches the falling product in a
sampling cup, measures it through a sapphire window, and then
ejects it. Sample ejection is achieved using a powerful jet of
compressed air.
The frequency of the measurement cycle is adjusted depending
on the rate of product flow.
