NDC Infrared Engineering offers economical, entry-level QCS
systems for the paper industry, for use where sophisticated DCS
systems and CD controls are not mandatory. In every other way
though, they provide the sophistication of measurement and control
needed to get the most out of older or smaller paper
machines.
Our measurement offerings include basis weight
measurement using Beta or GBS sensors; moisture content using
very accurate Infrared sensors (transmission or reflection); and an
option to use Microwave measurement for heavy weight board.
We can also provide ash measurement using a preferential
absorption sensor, and have two air caliper sensor options for
thickness measurement.
Our controls include stock valve control for basis weight as
well as moisture regulation through drying controls.
Our simple QCS system provides the paper industry with basic
measurement and control functions, while our Pro.Net system adds
PC-based data presentation and management tools to more easily
allow the mill process engineer to optimize machine
performance.
